This website has been smeared as a parody/satire/joke/spoof etc. website before. I would like to assure you that this website is in no shape or form a satire, or any of the rest of the qualities. Satire is a despicable method of discourse, as it fails to provide an argument, yet lampoons the hard work of others. Examples of satire websites would be Landover Baptist and Jesus’ General; these websites are open about their satirical position. I have yet to see a legitimate satire created by conservatives; they all seem to be made by Leftists smearing the correct wing. Every single Leftist satire is very open about their positions; I have yet to see a closeted satirist. I suppose that satire making is seen as a fashion statement by Leftists, and that like any fashion, no Leftist would try to hide it.
Liberals, atheists, and the rest of the anti-Christian and anti-American movement are not content just to pretend to be conservatives in order to lampoon us, however. Instead, when they come across a website that is so conservative that the Leftists cannot conceive of a cognitive argument, they decide to smear that website as ’satire’. This website has been one of many that has been called a Conservative Christian satire; this claim is unprovable, unfounded, and ridiculous.
Why do I write this page, you may ask? I want people to see the efforts these Leftists go to label bona fide Conservative Christians as parodies. I want to stop the hatred committed against us, I want legitimate debate to continue, and I want common sense to prevail. Liberals and atheists, as public opinion shows, are consistently shown to be out of touch with reality, often appealing to childlike emotions to make their opinions. Examples include:
“Since pink unicorns and spaghetti monsters don’t exist, neither does God!”
“Rich, hardworking people need to learn to share, and need to pay a higher percentage of their income to the government than the lazy, good for nothing poor do, under a steeply progressive income tax.”
“We need to give Islamists freedom of religion and freedom of speech. What could possibly go wrong?”
“Abortion isn’t murder. A woman shouldn’t have to be forced to raise a child, and should be allowed to rid herself of the thought of the rotten parasite as soon as possible.”
“Homosexuality, although unproductive, should be subsidized by taxpayers, just as heterosexuality is.”
“Christianity is just another religion. So what if it had the most unique history out of all the religions?”
“De-regulation caused Wall Street to fail.”
“Labor unions are not like the Mafia at all.”
“I should oppose the Patriot Act, even though it can only make good citizens safer. I don’t want to give up a fraction of liberty for an immense amount of security.”
“If people can’t defend themselves with guns, there will be less crimes in this country.”
“We should place all our trust in a system, science, that denounces proofs.”
“White people inherently hate black people and Hispanic people.”
“Being politically correct is the highest level of achievement one can aspire to.”
“Money can be created by magic; ergo, we should finance all the social programs we can.”
“Palestinian terrorists mean more than pro-democracy Israelites.”
“All good ideas originate from Daily Kos, which should be allowed to portray Nazis in a favorable light. Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, and Ann Coulter are just rabid people that are racists and hate change. “
“Although Sarah Palin is the only executive candidate that has served in an executive office, she is the least qualified out of all four of them, while a community organizer is the best qualified person to lead us.”
“We need to talk to every one diplomatically, no matter how much they hate us. War is never the answer.”
“What if we abolished the military and Homeland Security? Terrorism would become extinct!”
“The world is running out of oil.”
“We should devote resources to protecting rabid predators and shellfish, instead of human beings.”
I think that this ought to be enough to convince anyone of the ridiculousness of the liberal atheist movement. I’m astounded that they have the gall to say that since I debate so well, I can’t REALLY be a conservative; instead, I have to be a clone of Noam Chomsky. I think these people are hiding something.
This website is not a satire. Those who claim it is are self-satires.
For the rest of the stuff, know that you should be at least 18 years of age when viewing this website, and that this website and the owners of it are not responsible for any events that may occur in your personal life or on a grandiose political scale. By posting here, you are giving me the right to reproduce your posts however I see fit and for whatever reason I may want.

This website is not a joke. I’ve known my uncle for all eighteen years of my life, and he would never do something as low as be an atheist liberal.
Satire isn’t even a form of argument. It’s a worthless form of discourse invented by an Irish baby eater that couldn’t GROW UP.

Through my research of FSTDT, I have conclusively determined that they think that any Fundamentalist Christian that is literate is a fake. Of course, we really have to call their own literacy into question.

I think that’s generally the litmus test they use. These nitwits are so brainwashed, they feel that their opponents have to have the literacy rate of a kindergartner in order to be real. Those kinds of people are the only people that view this website as fake; the more professional readers, like Fredrick Clarkson, the ScienceBlogs community, and the Daily Kostards, view me as real.

“Satire isn’t even a form of argument. It’s a worthless form of discourse invented by an Irish baby eater that couldn’t GROW UP.”
Actually, satire (note: it and parody are often necessary tangents) can make a really powerful argument at times. The term is certainly loosely tossed around in our society today (MAD TV is not satire, nor are idiots like David Zucker or Michael Moore), but people like Jon Swift made several arguments for their positions using satire, which actually became potent arguments in the square.
As far as I can tell, if you and Ixion (are) jokes, then you are actually satire proper, because not only do you adopt the personas of what you are trying to criticize, you usually have serious points to make. Several of the articles I read here are often not funny, yet others are.

This is true.

Why do you hate Calvinism?

If someone wants to call themselves satirical or a parodist, I say we let them. You can’t weasel your way out of this one, doubly transsexual atheist. MAD TV calls themselves satirical; so they are. If my memory serves me correctly, so does Jackass.

We have serious points to make, but we deliver them in a no spin fashion. Call us amateur Bill O Reillys, if you want.

i commend your willingness to allow comments.
however… I’ve just now come to this page after reading a post and interactive “disbelieving” comments by “Objective Scrutator” on calvinists4conservatism.wordpress.com/2008/10/23/why-obama-supporters-need-to-be-interrogated/.
that is definitely some type of parody of rightwhingers. it may be unintended parody, but it it still parody.
the phrasing is not as flamboyant as most of rightwing (self?) parody (lush, coulter, sowell, m weiner, ad nauseam) The phrasing is rather dull, much like most of the phrasing on “conservapedia”. Since conservapedia is a renowned (dull, dilute) parody of rightwingers, i conclude that dull parody can still be perceived as parody.

“i commend your willingness to allow comments.”
I want everyone to comment here. Conservatives ought to comment, for exchange of ideas, while liberals post here so that the rest of the world can see them in their unhinged, conspiracy-theorist form.

What in Sam Hell are you talking about? Andrew Schlafly of Conservapedia, Ann Coulter, and I assume Rush Limbaugh (since you misspelled his name with a letter that can’t be considered a typo), are sincere. So am I. I don’t even know what you’re talking about as far as ‘dull’ and ’sincere’ go. Leftists are fairly easy to parody, though. I’m fairly certain that ‘Democratic Underground’s’ webmaster is actually an elaborate spoof of the Left. The website is full of simplistic Hippies, and it’s hard to tell who’s real, and who’s not.

And if I call myself black, does that change the color of my skin? Words have specific meanings and you can’t just claim it is you- you have to provide proof.

Define liberal. Most American conservatives count as neo-liberals for example.
“What in Sam Hell are you talking about?”
Poe’s Law- it is impossible to tell the differance between a parody of fundamentalism and actual fundamentalism.
For example, which one of this is real, and which is fake?
Christians pray to Golden Bull.
Christians conduct witch hunt against children.
Noted Christian apologetics author urges baby killing.
The answer? They are ALL real stories!

People think this site is a joke because no sensible person could have these ideas all floating around in their head. It’s a joke because when we sensible folk read it, we laugh. I think that’s the very definition of “a joke”: something that makes other people laugh. And believe you me, we’re all laughing at this site. Why do you think you get so many views?
We’re all laughing at you. Keep up the work that you’re doing, because you’re providing hours upon hours of entertainment for sensible folk, and you’re probably keeping busy those “people” who (despite all logic shouting against them) actually “think” like you (I use the word “think” very, very, very lightly here).

Not THAT kind of joke! It’s pretty obvious that conservatives view liberals as jokes, and that liberals view conservatives as jokes, so there’s no reason to address that kind of joke here. I’m talking about the other kind of joke, which would be quite obvious if you read more than the headline.
“Why do you think you get so many views?”
Over 75% of my views come from searches, not direct links.
“We’re all laughing at you. Keep up the work that you’re doing, because you’re providing hours upon hours of entertainment for sensible folk,”
I don’t think conservatives find this very funny. Liberals may, but they have terrible taste in comedy, anyways.
“and you’re probably keeping busy those “people” who (despite all logic shouting against them) actually “think” like you (I use the word “think” very, very, very lightly here).”
I’m sorry, I don’t follow.
“This website is a gift from GOD and is not a joke.”
Thank you, Marty! However, I think it’s important to realize that all conservatives and Christians are gifts from the LORD. If liberals and atheists were to confess their sins and become a conservative Christian, they too would be gifts from the LORD.
“When I read your hatefull comments I feel like taking a hammer and smashing my toes to pieces. One by One WHAM! smashing the little bones so that the pain I feel when I think of your little stinking vile fart-filed diatribes against this blessed site finally goes away.”

Thank you. Leftists feel embarrassed that they have been driven here by the power of the LORD and the grace of the free market, so they call this a parody in hopes of hiding their own security.
Your website has been added to the Friends list. Such actions are absolutely necessary in these times, where Postmillenialism is losing out to Postmodernism.

Um, I think your website has been labeled as a spoof to explain your profoundly AWFUL, uncited arguments (you did not give one source in your quotes from liberals) and your terrible, terrible debate skills. Seriously, you have every logical fallacy in the debate textbook on your site.
Speaking as a very conservative, Calvinist, republican, Palin-supporting Christian. Your site is awful, you write like a liberal making fun of conservatives.
So, I’m still inclined to think this website is a joke…but if it isn’t, you seriously need to re-read your Bible to find out what it actually says–or if you really have read it, find a smart person to explain it to you, because you have obviously misunderstood much of it, and become informed about events before you write about them.

It may not be a joke, but a lot of people find it quite funny.
Also, FSTDT, as its name implies, exists for the sole purpose of mocking those specific fundamentalists who deliberately remain ignorant about Christianity, politics, and society in general. So of COURSE they’re only going to list the stupid Christians–listing intelligent Christian quotes would be rather silly in that context.

I do understand that this website is no parody/joke. However, I cannot find an appropriate thread to ask good questions, and I have noticed that you no longer respond to anymore of my posts.
I have recently posted about how we as Christians should not be advocates to violence as much as I have seen on this website. But don’t get me wrong, I am ready to defend myself. If trouble comes my way, I would be ready for it, but there is no reason to go look for it.
A man has done a good study on how we Christians should stand in the terms of violence
When I talk about God or acting accordingly to how God wants us to act, whether it is with my family and friends, we never talk about the military, how we should arm teachers in our schools and butlers in our house like soldiers/police, and talking about how we should get our kids in school used to teachers like that.
Honestly, I don’t think that teachers trained/armed like military personnel would have the mentality to be good teachers. In America, that will never happen. It is possible that something like this would happen in a Military Junta, most likely someplace like Myanmar. However, nothing like this takes place in America.
However, as I have seen some of the political views from you and your posts that do not seem like any are inspired fromconservatism, nor from the will of God As a fellow Christian, it is my duty to help and guide my brethren. That is why I post on this site.

… well yeah… some of the shit you say on this website is … really freaky. and *because* it’s so scary and freaky and extreme, it’s just kind of assumed it’s not real. the fact that it is– it’s just plain scary. i mean you stoned your nephew. the fuck is wrong with you??

It’s hard to come up with a “cognitive argument” against a position that has no logical background and simply relies on thousand year old texts to support unsubstantiated and bigoted beliefs. I have no issues with religion of any kind as long as it doesn’t have any issues with me. Blaming the problems in the world on gays, tattoos, rock music, alcohol, drugs, abortion, and other religions is an excuse for your boring life and personal lack of answers.
And this site is WAY too funny to be a satire.

“Homosexuality, although unproductive, should be subsidized by taxpayers, just as heterosexuality is.”
I don’t think any sort of relationship should be subsidized. I just believe that people shouldn’t get involved in other peoples relationships.
“Christianity is just another religion. So what if it had the most unique history out of all the religions?”
How does Christianity have a more unique history than other religions? Aren’t all religions unique? I just don’t understand what you are trying to say here.
And I’d love to know where you got those quotes from, since there is no citation I must believe that you wrote them all yourself and put the quotation marks around them to make a satirical comment on “leftist propoganda.” But that couldn’t be possible, because a true conservative would never use false statements or exaggeration to make a point. Unless this really is a Liberal website that satirizes Conservatism. That must be it, you sneaky bastard!
