I’m sure that we’ve all heard about the idiotic Democrat governor that has been convicted of trying to sell Iraq Hussein Osama, President Elect’s Senate seat. Obviously, it follows that Democrats, such as the far-left winger Kos, are avoiding any discussion about him (preferring, instead, to talk about corrupt Republicans, even if those Republicans were not actually corrupt, like Duke Cunningham), and since the evidence is clearly against him, nobody’s really been talking about Blago himself. While I will commend him in his efforts to attack the vile video game industry, his positions on the issues are only appropriate for someone convicted of a high crime. Liberals, who favor government intervention over the free market and the American people, will doubtlessly applaud this measure; after all, Blago’s approval ratings are still at 7%, and 30% do not want him to resign immediately. Clearly, these liberals are proud of what Blago has done, which just goes to show their utter hatred for the American taxpayer.

Yet questions remain about Iraq Hussein Osama, President Elect. The evidence is clear that Blago tried to bully Osama into conceding his Senate seat, and Osama hasn’t been trying to remove this scumbag from office. If IHOPE really cared about restoring dignity to the Illinois governorship (which has had 4 out of 7 of its last governors convicted of criminal activity), he would immediately remove this stain on our society by hiring someone to hack his head off.

Right Pundits provides us with the answer:

…with a little research, ABCNews exposed the Obama-Blagojevich senate seat discussions. Appearing on Fox News Chicago on November 23rd, senior adviser David Axelrod made what was a non-controversial statement at the time which now directly refutes Obama:

“I know he’s [Obama] talked to the governor [about the Senate vacancy] and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them.”

And that makes sense. Given that Blagojevich was (allegedly) tape recorded admitting that he attempted to trade the appointment for an Obama cabinet position (reportedly Secretary of Health and Human Services), Obama’s denial cannot possibly be true. And it would be irresponsible for Obama not to make his opinion known. In fact, Obama insider Valerie Jarrett is thought to be one of the leading candidates.

One might think that Obama is making a Clintonesque statement in an attempt to mislead the public. Oh you know, Obama himself may not have talked with Blagojevich but his surrogates did. But Axelrod tells us that Obama did hold conversations with Blagojevich, and not indirectly but directly.

Anything less would be irresponsible for the president-elect, whose wishes would provide valuable council to the governor and serve the public interest. Why would Obama deny attempting to influence Blagojevich’s choice?

That is the million dollar question that will be answered when the dust settles. Obama’s press conference statement appears to be an early attempt at damage control, but what damage if any is there to control in a Blagojevich Obama connection?

Meanwhile a Chicago television station reported contemporaneously on Obama meeting with Blagojevich on November 5th. Just one week later, Obama inexplicably resigned his Senate seat early, a move which flummoxed his Senate colleagues since it meant he could not lead on the economic bailout bills. Why did Obama resign early?

In the face of a growing political problem, Obama is keeping a low profile. He has canceled an FBI briefing and his office has been mute on the issue so far other than to belatedly call for the governor’s resignation.

Of course, it would be far too simplistic to dismiss Obama’s quick resignation as preparation for his Presidential duties, especially since Joe Biden has not resigned his position from the Senate. After all, we should remember that Spiro Agnew was not suspected of any connection to the Nixonian RINO Nixon until Watergate; Spiro had been convicted of tax fraud long before. Blagojevic is part of the same political machine as IHOPE is, and to think that such a machine can produce two people with radically different morals is absurd. The fact that IHOPE continues to dodge the question during interviews only begs the candid observer to scream at his clumsy transactions.

I eagerly await the resignation of IHOPE from office. Following that, I expect a profound apology from ACORN and the rest of the morons that allowed this con-man to steal this election, the Republican Party apparatus that nominated a RINO as its candidate, and the lazy Americans who didn’t speak up for the Republicans.

Update: Ann Althouse does have a good point about the efforts being made to oust Blagojevich. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan is attempting to label him as unfit for office because of his health. While I hate Blagojevich, and think that he should probably be executed under the law, it is important to realize that a government big enough to remove someone from office is a government big enough to tax you. Since the Illinois Democrats have proven themselves to be corrupt, we should allow the Illinois Republicans to vote on whether Blagojevich should receive the death penalty or not. Dennis Hastert, I am sure, will be able to rally the troops to the voting booths. I hope you enjoy Hellfire, Blagojevich! Your overlord, IHOPE, will soon be down there to be your sparring partner!
